I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! This excursion will take you to the heart of the Roman Catholic Religion - The Vatican City: to explore St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. You'll visit the world famous Vatican Museum, where an exceptional collection of artwork from every era is on display. Over one thousand rooms and galleries contain thousands of amazing treasures collected by the Popes throughout the centuries. You will have time to only see a portion of the many beautiful pieces of work. Then, you'll visit the Sistine Chapel, highlighted by Michelangelo's masterpieces, the impressive frescoes, including the "Last Judgment. " Finally, you'll visit St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. Among the many fine pieces of art and mosaics on display are Michelangelo's "Pieta" and the beautifully carved Bernini Pulpit. You will skip the lines to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. After lunch, a drive through Rome to explore the Colosseum ( 1st & 2nd Floor only included )
Caron M. (our guide) was amazing!! She was knowledable and personable. We had a group of 6 with one of us using a walker. She knew just what to say and how to get us around as smoothly as was humanly possible . She found us the perfect place for lunch. Our tour with Caron was nothing short of amazing! Two of us had been to Rome before while this was a first visit for the other 2. The 4 of us will be talking about our day for years to come! Caron was super personable, knowledgeable and able to navigate the crowds of Rome in order to make our day perfect. She was flexible and accommodating and made sure we saw and experienced the places on our list. Caron arranged a "before hours" tour of the Vatican which was an experience we treasured. She knew locals throughout Rome's city centre which made our day so fun. We had wonderful food experiences in authentic cafes with locals sharing the highlights of each menu. The 4 of us all agree that we could not possibly be happier and more satisfied with our day in Rome....thanks to Caron!!

I don't think there's anyone in Rome that Caron doesn't know, and she uses those connections to make a perfect tour. We had our two young children with us and she crafted amazing activities to keep them interested and even learn some history!
We had a short time in Rome and Caron made the most of it for sure! We sure enjoyed her itinerary and company!
- I will meet you at the Meeting Point of your choice (Hotel, Cruise Port or a Monument in Rome). Our day will begin with a VIP Entrance, No waiting in line to visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. - Afterwards we will break for lunch at a local place where many of the local's eat in Rome by the Vatican walls. -Our final hours will be spent visiting my personal favorite areas on and around the Tiber River. - Exploring Ancient Rome and the Colosseum is a personal favorite for me, as the history around the monument is beyond extraordinary! I have loved it for 25 years since my first visit and each time I explore with travelers we discover more! - Please note that this tour is a private tour. When entering the Vatican you will be with a Certified Vatican guide, not personally with me as the Vatican is in another country and requires a different guide licence. While I will be with you inside the Colosseum.
