Ciao & Welcome to Italy Tours with Mauro! I have been involved in the Tour Industry for over 13 years now and look forward to sharing my Beautiful country, it's food, it's traditions and of course it's values on life with all of you. Before entering into the Tour Industry I had spent 15 years in the area of Italian culinary adventures. I have first hand knowledge to share with each of you regarding the different regions, their food, wines, cheeses and tasty treats on the side like olive oil, balsamic and the art of truffles! Not to mention the best Gelato in each hilltop town inside and out of Rome. I'm originally from the Eastern side of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, a region called Puglia. So I am no stranger to the best beaches, sea food and nature that Italy has to offer as well. I am young, energetic, fun spirited, honest and most of all always on time. Overview of your Rome tour

This tour will take you to the heart of the Roman Catholic Religion - The Vatican City: to explore St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. You'll visit the world famous Vatican Museum, where an exceptional collection of artwork from every era is on display. Over one thousand rooms and galleries contain thousands of amazing treasures collected by the Popes throughout the centuries. You will have time to only see a portion of the many beautiful pieces of work. Then, you'll visit the Sistine Chapel, highlighted by Michelangelo's masterpieces, the impressive frescoes, including the "Last Judgment. " Finally, you'll visit St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. Among the many fine pieces of art and mosaics on display are Michelangelo's "Pieta" and the beautifully carved Bernini Pulpit. You will skip the lines to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. You will have time for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, a drive through Rome to visit the historic Colosseum.

We loved every minute of our tour with Mauro! Even with a limited time in Rome, we were able to have a great experience at the sites that were most important to us. For the ones we weren’t able to fully experience, he either drove us by or shared great information and stories. We really felt like he made the most of our time there. And what’s more, he was so warm and welcoming that it felt like we were seeing the town with a long-time friend. We couldn’t recommend him more highly - he’s just delightful!

We had a great day. Pick up from the port in Rome to see the Vatican and St Paters Cathedral. Plus a great lunch and visit to the Colesseum and we were even able to squeeze in time to see the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. Super great and would look to use this guide aging in the future!

Mauro was a wonderful guide. He was enthusiastic and informative. He had everything ready for us (tickets, food between stops, places for waters and gelato). We saw so many sites in a short period of time. Despite it being an oppressively hot and busy day in Rome, Mauro always had a smile on his face and story to tell.

Your Rome tour itinerary

- I will meet you at the Meeting Point of your choice (Hotel, Cruise Port or a Monument in Rome). - Our day will begin with a VIP Entrance, No waiting in line to visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chaple and St. Peter's Bascilica. - Jubilee Journey - Afterwards we will break for lunch at a local place where many of the local's eat in Rome by the Vatican walls. - Our final hours will be spent visiting areas on and around the Tiber River and over to see Ancient Rome and the Colosseum( 1st & 2nd Floor only included ) before taking you back to your pickup location. Please note that this tour is a private tour, however, when entering the Vatican and Colosseum you may join a group tour that is guided by an Official guide from inside the Vatican and the Colosseum.

Other: - VIP no waiting in line tickets for the Vatican Museums. - VIP no waiting in line tickets for the Colosseum. Please take with you your ID/Passport while you are on tour for ticket entrance checking. For the Colosseum Entrace Tickets we need the Name, Last name & Date of birth of all the participants at the moment of your booking, because is mandatory. If you are visiting the Vatican in the hotter summer months, an applicable dress code for the Vatican would be a t-shirt and bermuda shorts that at least caste a shadow on your knees. As a sign of respect most visitors wear long-sleeve shirts and a pair of long pants. If you book this tour on Sunday, we will visit St. Peter's Basilica and Castel S. Angelo instead of the Vatican Museums, which are closed on Sundays.
