Hello, my name is Alessandra and I was born and grew up in Rome - a true local! I graduated in 1995 with a degree in Art History and have worked in art communication ever since. In developing didactic projects I've collaborated with Universities, Museums and Government Agencies. Most importantly, I spent several years at the MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma) followed by even more years at the Trajan Markets (Imperial forums Museum). So, as you can see my interests in art range from the far past to the immediate present. For the past seven years I've worked as a private tour guide and I love it. I believe a walk through Rome is a walk through time, from the earliest settlement on the Palatine to the still busy artisan neighborhoods, from the Christian churches to the Jewish Ghetto. I specialize in tailor-made tours for first time or repeat visitors seeking more in depth knowledge of the city. I enjoy working with families and children and have had great experiences with tourists who have mental or physical disabilities as well. ". . only in Rome do you really get to know Rome. . " J. W. Ghoethe Italian Journey, 1786-1788. Strolling through this ever surprising city aided by maps, drawings, photos and writings of each historical period, we'll penetrate and truly experience Rome! I am licensed tour guide of Rome with a degree in Art History . I spent several years at the MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma) followed by even more years at the Trajan Markets (Imperial Forum Museum) In December 2018 I successfully completed the course: "Fundamentals of Extraordinary Tour Leading" I can organize a customized tours (full day or half day) with luxury private car and driver. I have no limitations of any kind and I can access any place of cultural interest and guide you in any of the languages I am proficient in. If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

The Colosseum is the largest amphitheater ever built in ancient Rome. Built to celebrate the empire, the arena presented games of great popular appeal, such as hunts and gladiatorial fights. We walk on the arena floor, where you enjoy a complete view of the Colosseum, standing in the same position the gladiators were in when they fought. We visit the Roman Forum, the centre of public life for over a millennium, from the foundation of Rome to imperial time. Here are the ruins of the main political, religious and representative buildings. We climb the Palatine, the hill where Rome was founded, here are the massive remains of Imperial Palaces. From the top are breathtaking views over the area. I worked several years at the Imperial Forums Museum, I can help you get your bearings and unfolds its history and secrets! Come on, let's go!
