From being young I have always had a passion for Art and the way some special people expressed themselves through it: music, archaeology, history, architecture, poetry and literature have always been my favourite subjects. All of this gives me today a deeper comprehension of the works in museums and a great joy at sharing it with people. After eighteen years as a licensed guide, showing museums, art collections and churches in Rome, I still enjoy sharing what I have learnt and I do not mind customizing tours according to clients requests. This work gives me the opportunity to meet many people from different backgrounds: I have lectured for National Geographic and Smithsonian, I tought Renaissance and Baroque Art for an american university in Rome, I lead tours for Roman groups and for tourists and I am not yet tired! Museums, Sistine Chapel and Basilica: Half Day Skip the Line Tour
Overview of your Rome tour
The Sistine Chapel is one of the most famous buildings in the World but is not the only work of art contained in the Vatican Museums! Here you will see the most famous and widest art collection in Rome. In this tour will be able to admire the Cabinet of Masks exclusively will reveal you a room of the museums away from the crowd. From here the route takes us through the Gallery of Candelabras followed by the Gallery of Tapestries and that of Geographical Maps. Then enter the Sistine Chapel you will enjoy the wonderful frescoes, with Stories from the Old and New Testament and Michelangelo's masterpieces: the Genesis and the Last Judgement. The Basilica of St. Peter will be the last stop of our visit: one of the most important churches in the Christian world. This is where precious works of art are exhibited, such as the Pietà. This is one of the most comprehensive tour of the vatican but I love customizing tours according to clients requests. Let's go!

We wiil visit: -Vatican Museums: Courtyard of Pigna Museo Chiaramonti Courtyard Ottagono Gallery of Animals Gallery of Muses Gallery Rotonda Candelabra Museum Tapestry Museum Gallery of the Maps -Sistine Chapel -St. Peter Basilica, also inside -St. Peter Square This tour can be customized to fit your preferences. The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel are closed on SUNDAYS and Catholic Holidays. NOTE: -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. -Please bring a copy of your passport (hard copy or photo on your phone) tickets are nominal and you must show a copy of your documents. The Vatican DRESS CODE is strict and requires shoulders and knees covered: low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts, and hats for men are not allowed. Only small bags/backpacks are permitted (size 40x35x15).

On WEDNESDAY mornings St. Peter's Basilica may be closed until 1 pm due to papal audiences. St. Peter's Basilica may close Without Notice due to Masses or events. In this case, you may be able to spend more time visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The guide is NOT responsible for these closures.
