This half-day tour will show you 2000 years of history. Since the arrival of the Apostle Peter in Rome, his martyrdom and the spread of Christianity, the Vatican has become the center of spiritual and political power. Sabrini knows how to maximize every minute of your time with her. Her little, back hallway routes around Vatican City, allowed us so much more time to see things even on a very crowded day.
There were six family members on this tour with Sabrina. The ages ranged from nine to eighty seven. After spending a week sightseeing in Rome, all of us chose the tour of the Vatican as the highlight of our trip. Sabrina made everything interesting and informative. She was especially good with the two kids aged nine and eleven. We covered art architecture history and religion. Everything was interesting. Those of us who had visited the Vatican on other trips gained new insights. Sabrina found us space in the Sistine Chapel so that we could have the best view of the ceiling. We also used the stairs in the Sistine Chapel to descend to the Basilica. Even though this was Easter week and everything was crowded, we were able to see everything and hear everything. It was a pleasure to interact with a person and to not have to wear the earbuds and the transmitters. Thank you Sabrina for giving us a memorable tour.
Sabrina was so knowledgeable and friendly and really good with my kids. I would definitely recommend this tour. We went on a crowded day and she always found a great spot for us to stand and discuss what we were seeing.
Sabrina was an amazing guide through the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter’s. Her knowledge of the history, the art, the buildings, and of how to maneuver through the space among the crowds made this a truly wonderful experience for our family! In the Museums, you will visit: - Pinecone courtyard; - Pius-Clementine Museum; - galleries; - Rooms of Raphael; - Sistine Chapel; - Saint Peter's Basilica. On rare occasions and on Wednesdays, the Basilica might be closed. In this case, we would visit another section of the museums. Dress code. The Vatican has strict dress code requirements: dresses/shorts must be knee length and shoulders covered , so bringing zip on attire or scarfs is acceptable.
