In developing didactic projects I've collaborated with Universities, Museums and Government Agencies. Overview of your Rome tour
The Museums are housed in the Historical Papal Palace, where such artists as Michelangelo and Raphael lived and worked, inspired by the classical art collection. Along the awesome Upper Galleries we see: grand tapestries woven in the Renaissance for the Sistine Chapel; maps of the regions of Italy masterfully painted on the walls in the 16 th century. We reach The Sistine Chapel, inside is the masterpiece of Michelangelo: the Last Judgment. From here we will go to Saint Peter Basilica, built above the tomb of Saint Peter first Pope in history. The most important artists in history worked in the largest church in the world. I was born and grew up in Rome and live near the Vatican, who better than me can make you discover this wonderful place?! Let's go

Alessandra was very friendly and very knowledgable. We had a large group (11) with and elderly person who had more limitations than we realized. The situation was compounded by the extreme crowds. But Alessandra really advocated to get him a seat when he needed to rest and she improvised the tour so that he would have places to sit as much as possible. I think as non-catholics we needed more historical context to understand how everything fits together (this shortcoming may have also been due to the large group/extreme crowds). There was also some confusion at the beginning of the tour because she had (inadvertently) only printed out 10 of the tickets which delayed us about half an hour. But she did her best to make the most of a difficult day. I think there is no easy way to tour the Vatican. And at the end she led us to a wonderful restaurant for dinner.

NOTE: -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. -Please bring a copy of your passport (paper copy or photo on your phone), the tickets are nominal and a copy of your documents must be shown. -The Vatican DRESS CODE is strict and requires shoulders and knees covered: low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts, and hats for men are not allowed.

-Walking Tour -I suggest bringing a bottle of water and to wear comfortable shoes -During the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses -During the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella -For security reasons, all visitors are to be screened with Metal Detectors -Only small bags/backpacks are permitted (size 40x35x15). Long umbrellas are not permitted.

In this case, you may be able to spend more time visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The guide is NOT responsible for these closures.
