Private Rome tour in one day: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum and Highlights

Getting to Rome from the cruise port for a full day of exploration when it was 100 degrees was quite the undertaking and I don't think we could have navigated it better thanks to Giuseppe and his driver. The driver picked us up right on time right at the dock where our ship docked and then we drove an hour to the city where we picked up our guide and had time for a coffee spot. We were a tough group, 2 adults and 4 young adults (ages 16-21) so it was hard to plan a day to appeal to everyone and see as much as possible. We saw the catacombs, the Coliseum, the Trevi fountain, Forum, Vatican city, and the blank (surprise add-on that was a huge hit). He took us to a yummy snack spot, a fantastic pasta lunch spot and gelato at the end. Having a separate driver and guide made it is easy to jump out and jump back in at all the sites, keeping the chaos to a minimum. It was a great day, heat not withstanding. Giuseppe took my clients on a full day private tour through Rome. Luca picked them up from the port and they were able to see all the highlights. He was very knowledgeable and was able to navigate the busy and hot city so my clients could see and do everything. He made sure they returned to the ship with plenty of time and they loved every minute.

We recently enjoyed a day tour of Rome, Italy with Giuseppe D. It could not have gone any better! From the very beginning, as I began to plan online and find a tour guide, it went very smoothly. Everything was laid out, and it all came to be exactly as promised. Any fears that I had about using them, have all dissipated. We were picked up from our Viking ship promptly by our private driver, Luca, and driven safely to meet Giuseppe. Luca was excellent & we liked him from the start. Once we arrived, Giuseppe introduced himself and told us what our day would hold. We had previously planned many things and everything that he had promised came true! When we finished the first location, we walked to a close by spot and immediately, Luca picked us up and drove us to our next site. Each time we were dropped off and visited a site and then immediately Luca was there. We were absolutely spoiled by the efficiency and the planning of our day. Giuseppe knew so much about every spot and could answer all of our questions. He was very easy to understand and was also quite fun to be with. His knowledge on of history was impressive! He took us to a local place for lunch and that was extra special. At the end when I requested finding some great gelato, without hesitation, he made it happen. Truly, we were spoiled! For the rest of our Viking cruise, there was no one else that compared to Giuseppe. We were so pleased with him and Tours by Locals. I have told so many of my friends that I have “the guy” if they ever want to go to Rome or Naples. Additionally, I will always contact Tours by Locals as we travel & I’ve told all our friends! #TheBESTexperienceEVER!

What a FABULOUS day! My friends and I booked a one day tour of Rome with Giuseppe D'Angelo. I told Giuseppe one of our group had some mobility issues and gave him a very specific list of the sites that were important to experience. Giuseppe arranged it all! Giuseppe and Luca were a fabulous team! Luca arrived at the cruise port in advance of our meeting time, dressed handsomely with a clean, spacious van. He drove us to Rome, where we met Giuseppe who greeted us warmly and with a big smile. Giuseppe was a magician!! He purchased skip the line tickets for us in advance, knew the perfect paths to avoid the most crowds and even told others that were trying to skip ahead of us to “Go Line Up”. He made sure we were all safe and protected. He did not allow anyone to take advantage of “his tourists”. Giuseppe showed us the best of Roma! His restaurant recommendation was positively fantastic! The food and service were amazing. I look forward to Giuseppe becoming a friend and booking many clients on his tours .

Excellent tour - with adaptations for large crowds and the closure of the Vatican museums. Tour guide assisted us with obtaining timed tickets in advance. Would recommend this tour for those interested in a one day highlights tour. Driver pick up from cruise line and availability throughout the day saved us a lot of time.
