I studied Tourism in the University of Madrid because I love history, art , traveling and meeting people. Mayte is a top notch guide! Our group of five had a delightful four hours touring Old Madrid and the Royal Palace with Mayte. There are many positives to share-too many really to share. It was evident from the start that she has an extensive knowledge of the history of Madrid; indeed all of Spain’s long history. We moved at a comfortable pace and covered many historical sights. Mayte is willing to adjust her tour to accommodate your specific interests. That is a big plus. She also can adapt the route if necessary due to events beyond her control. Plaza Major was closed because of a celebration and she quickly adjusted our route with ease, regardless of some street closures. Mayte has a calm demeanor, yet with a very good wit. We really enjoyed her tour and highly recommend Mayte as a guide for Old Madrid/Royal Palace. ( I believe she also gives tours of the Prado.) Note: You will need to buy your own tickets to the Royal Palace. She is very clear about this. She can guide you on what time to buy them for. My hint is do not wait to buy those tickets because they sell out quickly!

Julia is a wonderful tour guide. She is very knowledgeable of Spanish history and culture. We had a great tour of el Alcazar and the cathedral. She also showed us around Seville and gave great recommendations on places to eat and shop.

The tour lasts 4 hours you have to choose carefully between: -visit the Old Madrid and the Royal Palace ( prepaid timed tickets needed) -visit the Old Madrid and the Prado Museum ( we skip the line!!!!) - visit the old district(We will explore the most emblematic spots in the city. . Plaza Mayor was the social and commercial hub of Madrid for many centuries. In its surrounding streets we discover the origins of the city, remnants of the Medieval Ages, The past that has remained engraved in the city's monumental buildings, squares and narrow streets, fiestas and social and cultural celebrations. We can complete our tour trying some local food. - visit our Art Museums Reina Sofia or/and Prado Museums I WILL GIVE YOU THE LINK OF THE MUSEUMS or the ROYAL PLACE TICKET OFFICE SO YOU CAN PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS ON LINE IN ADVANCE The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.
