Frida Kahlo 's Museum And Xochimilco boat tour

Hilary was amazing! She was very flexible & modified the tour to meet our needs. She was incredibly friendly & helpful. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a guide in Mexico City. 10/10

This was the reason I visited Mexico City. I loved the museum...I was in it longer than most but Hilary and her driver Armandos, had waited patiently for me, as they knew how much it meant for me to visit Casa Azul. The Xochimilco Boat Tour followed and it was amazing! Hilary had arranged excellent food to be delivered to the boat - the best home cooked traditional mexican food cooked by a woman who is 112 years old! Apparently her secret is drinking plenty of pulque! A truly wonderful day and made more wonderful with Hilary's local knowledge and ensuring I had the best food possible on the boat!

Hilary was an excellent guide and provided a lot of great information. We were able to experience things that we would have never thought of on our own, which gave us a great opportunity to understand the culture and life in Mexico City beyond the tourist areas.

Hilary put together the perfect itinerary for us and guided us through a great first day in Mexico City! We strolled around Coyoacan and the markets, and got some delicious coffee and churros. Then we were off to the Frida Kahlo Museum. After that we went to Xochimilco for a really, really fun cruise down the canal. She had lunch pre-arranged from a fantastic chef and we just pulled over to their boat to pick it up. She shared so much info with us, and was fun to spend the day with.

Hilary picked us up promptly and drove south to Coyoacan, explaining sites along the way in very comfortable English, and was attentive to our interests and pace. Combining the Frida Kahlo Museum tour with Xochimilco boat tours makes sense because they are both south of the main city and require long drives. The Frida Kahlo Museum has wonderful docents and is very well curated. The boat trip is a lively jubilant one hour excursion, with food and drinks a long the way. It was a memorable day!

We spent a great day with Hilary. Glad to have the private tour so that: a) we didn't have to figure out transportation to, and most importantly, from, Coyoacán and Xochimilco; b) we were able to learn more about the history especially in Coyoacán; c) we didn't miss out on the Frida Kahlo house museum because we didn't book tickets in time; and finally d) someone knowledgeable to handle the trajinera as I found that prospect quite stressful but really wanted the boat ride experience! Definitely recommend.
