Guide #63738
I have lived and worked in the Philadelphia region all of my life and have always been passionate about promoting Philadelphia's unique history. After taking early retirement from DOD, I developed my "2nd Act" as a tour guide and found a true calling. 18th century history has been my love since I was a child. Working in Philadelphia allows me to continue discovering our nation's beginnings. I have been guiding for nearly 12 years and it has proven to be a wonderful opportunity to interact with visitors from here and across the world. I consider myself a Philadelphia ambassador and love to showcase our great city and the surrounding areas. I believe that telling the stories of the people who worked and lived here is the best approach to guiding and will be a more memorable visitor experience. I live now in a unique South Jersey town that had its beginnings started by an 18th century Philadelphian so I love to expand my stories and tours to South Jersey as well. I am happy to customize any of my tours if possible. Judith subbed in and did a great job! We were two middle school moms and daughters in town to do some historic sites and see Philly. She was knowledgeable and kind and even took a detour to her favorite bakery for the girls. Her deep knowledge of the women of Philadelphia and their contributions made the tour even more exciting for the girls!
informative and nice guide who know her town.
We had a wonderful and informative tour of the Pine Barrens, and Judith was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. From the entrancing scenery of the pine barrens and the historic Batsto Village, with restored 18th century homes and general store, and the impressive 19th century Atsion Mansion, to lunch at Sweetwater Marina with a statue of the Jersey Devil right...
Judy was a fabulous tour guide! She made the history of Philadelphia even more interesting than I thought it would be!
