There are certain sites that everyone needs to see when they come to Philadelphia. But do you ~*really*~ want to hear someone wax poetic on Benjamin Franklin's virtues? Me neither. It gets super boring. This tour will cover all those Philadelphia basics but with the gossip and bad behavior. You will see all the important sites with just a bit of sass and a whole lot of love. Come meet the complete and fallible humans who got us to where we are today.
We will begin our adventure at the Independence Visitor's Center and head south to see the exteriors of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We will then head to Washington Square Park, one of William Penn's five original parks, which contains both serene memorials and less serene stories. We will continue our adventure through the Society Hill neighborhood for a brief visit to the 20th century to see how "Historic Philadelphia" came to be. We won't be there too long, though, before landing back in the colonial days with the First National Bank, Carpenters Hall, Benjamin Franklin's print shop and Betsy Ross' house, along with lots of fun stops in between. All tours will follow CDC and local COVID-19 safety guidelines.
