Mark provides a fantastic tour of the revolution. He is clearly knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Rather than wasting time in line to enter various NPS sites that we can/will tour later, Mark focused on guiding us through the backstories and providing context for the major events that happened in that time period. He added details - both important and amusing - as he walked us through the historic places in the city, bringing the revolution and key players to life. He is not only passionate about the topic, he also enjoys sharing this knowledge. As a guide for others considering this tour, our recommendation is to dig a little into the revolution first. No PhD required, but there's far more Mark can offer if you have some understanding of the basic elements and the players involved (though he adapts easily and crafts his tour to match your level of interest and background knowledge). We completed the tour with just two of us, and while there are cheaper tours available, this type of personal interaction has left us hungry for much more in future visits to Philadelphia. We highly recommend you take this tour with Mark! He was amazing and even did our tour in the rain! Had to love his smile as he was so passionate about all that he was sharing that happened in Philly. We learned a lot of history and I'm having a great time sharing it with my Grandkids.
