Welcome! I’m Cath, a proud Invernessian, born and bred in the Scottish Highlands. I’m a fully qualified, experienced tour guide and have been sharing the Highlands of Scotland with travellers since 2018. Based in Inverness, I grew up on a farm just along the road from Culloden Battlefield. Being raised in an area so deeply rooted in history provided the perfect foundation for my career in Adult Education and professional Tour Guiding. I specialize in private car tours for discerning travellers seeking an authentic, unhurried, and truly local Highland experience. I regularly welcome guests from Inverness and the Port of Invergordon, offering seamless cruise-ship pick-ups and thoughtfully curated itineraries designed to make the very best use of your time in the Highlands. My tours focus on depth rather than crowds, blending iconic Highland landscapes with lesser-known locations, local stories and genuine Highland hospitality. From castle-studded glens and dramatic lochs to quiet back roads and hidden corners of the Black Isle — and all the way west to the Isle of Skye — I can tailor each journey to your interests, and make sure you enjoy in comfort and at your own pace. Whether exploring by car or on foot through the historic streets of Inverness, you’ll be guided by someone who knows the Highlands as their home. I’m passionate about sharing local history & folklore, and I take great pleasure in introducing visitors to our food and drink producers. I'm also happy to offer insider knowledge on the best venues to listen to our traditional music! As a member of the Scottish Tourist Guide Association, I offer more than just a tour — I provide a genuine connection to this place. My clan (née MacRae) has been rooted in the area since before the Battle of Culloden, with our clan seat at Eilean Donan Castle on the road to Skye.
