Hi, my name is Carole and I have been involved with tours and excursions for 5 years now. I have lived in Scotland all my life and Inverness for the last 25 years. I probably have one of the best jobs in the world meeting all you wonderful people from all around the globe. My passions are the Highlands of Scotland and Isle of Skye, and whether it's battlefields or castles, stunning landscapes, whisky, lochs or Nessie hunting, you can tour and cover them all. I aim to take your wish list of locations and help you turn them into a meaningful, memorable and magical experience. From the Speyside and Highland whisky trails, with many beautiful distilleries for your consideration and enjoyment and a taste experience that can't be rivaled, or perhaps a walking adventure in our magical countryside and wildlife of our glens, rest assured I know how to excite your imagination and expectations on a guided personal tour of our stunning country and its history. My experience and knowledge of history, myths and locations can help provide you with some great ideas for your tours. You will be transported in comfort and style in my immaculately presented Mercedes GLC 4x4 which gives a panoramic unclouded view of our stunning scenery. We could arrange pick up from your chosen location whether it's a hotel, house, port, train station or ferry, which will ensure that before, during and after the tour, your day will be undisturbed, memorable and talked about for years to come. Tours can be full or half days and start/finish times can be flexible to suit your needs on the day. I can do repositioning tours, maybe you fancy starting in Inverness and ending in Edinburgh or vice versa with scenic stops along the way. I can also offer multi day tours anywhere around Scotland. Just message me and we can sort out the best places to visit. If you are happy with three in the back I am happy to take four people 20 years experience as a professional driver. 5 years experience as a tour guide. None.

Following the loch we would take in the views of Urquhart Castle from the 13th century, an important castle in the Scottish Wars of Independence and get some great pictures of Loch Ness. The Commando Memorial which commemorates the commandos from the Second World War. The Achnacarry estate was not only where the commandos trained but various countries from around the world as it was remote, rigorous and the rugged terrain hardened elite troops. Then head to Glenfinnan to watch the famous Jacobite express cross the Glenfinnan viaduct. A must for Harry Potter fans! Take in the scenery as we head to Mallaig and take the ferry across to Skye to see the south of the island including Armadale castle (home to the Macdonalds), Torabhaig Distillery and Broadford. This end of the island is lush and green and magical. Finally cross the Skye bridge to the mainland and 13th century Eilean Donan Castle, a ruin for 200 years before being restored to its former glory by Lt Colonel John Macrae.
Pick up from your chosen point: * Photo stop of Loch Ness and perhaps a siting of Nessie * Photo stop of Urquhart Castle * Stop at the Commando memorial, a bronze sculpture of three commandos in complete dress uniform. The memorial is surrounded by by a 360 degree view of mountains including Ben Nevis! * Stop at Glenfinnan Viaduct to watch the Jacobite express cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct and see the Lone Highlander memorial * Take the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale, a short but picturesque crossing * light lunch at Armadale Castle * stop at Torabhaig distillery for a dram or coffee. Great pictures here of Knock Castle too which overlooks Knock bay. Stones were used from the castle ruins to build the distillery! * stop at Broadford to visit the local shops * visit Eilean Donan Castle and learn of its history. Return to accommodation
