Overview of your Edinburgh tour

I really enjoy this tour as it showcases the oldest University town in Scotland, St Andrews! Also because I will be able to show you Edinburgh and what this amazing city has to offer. This is a magic way to explore St Andrews and Edinburgh on this private tour by VIP Class 6 seat AMG Mercedes V Class. St Andrews is internationally renowned as the 'Home of Golf' and you will have plenty of time to see the famous Old Course -a place of pilgrimage for golfers of all abilities-. Out with the golfing side, St Andrews was one of the most important religious sites in medieval Europe. Once we depart from here, we will travel towards Edinburgh, with one of the most attacked castles in the World, home to several monarchs, a safe house for Mary Queen of Scots, and the Scottish crown jewels. From the parapets, you have gorgeous views to experience both the Old town and Royal Mile to the New Town, built between 1767 to around 1850 (New Town) of Edinburgh.

Ally is the best. I could not rate a tour guide any higher. He is funny, professional, informative, knowledgeable and flexible. I learned so much and shared a lot of laughs. His Mercedes van is very comfortable. And if you need more storage capacity, he has a trailer that he can hitch to the van. I highly recommend Ally.

An outstanding, memorable day with our terrific guide, Ally. Ally is very knowledgeable on all topics relating to Scotland; history, politics, and the economics providing excellent commentaries and discussions along the way. It was a very happy interesting time with David and I and our 20 year old grand daughter. We had a banner of a day which will forever be special for the three of us. Thank you so much, Ally . You made our day ! Let's do it again!!

Ally B is among the best tour guides of all times! Funny, interesting, warm, attentive, helpful, and dedicated to ensuring the best experience! Great correspondence and help in advance of tour. Edinburgh was beautiful. COVID requires tickets ahead for castle, so be sure to book for yourself or coordinate. Hollyrood Distillery was excellent. Rosslyn chapel was interesting. Ally felt like family by the end of 2 days and we will associate Scotland with him! Family of 6 had an incredible day and experience!

Our last day in Scotland Ally took us to St. Andrews & Falkland a nearby village. We enjoyed touring Johnny Cash's hometown. We walked through the village visiting shops, town square & having coffee/pastries at a coffee shop. While traveling to St. Andrews we saw spectacular views. Going to the Old Course; having lunch at the Old Club; and playing miniature golf on the Women's course was the highlight of our day. As we crossed the famous 'Swilcan Bridge' the sun was setting creating incredible memories.

We spent the afternoon driving from Edinburgh Castle to St. Andrews with him and back to our ship at the port. We were sorry to say goodbye:( If you are looking for a great guide that is very knowledgeable of the entire area and want some really good laughs, you must request Ally B's services! He was very accommodating with our plans.
