On this private tour, I will take you through one of Barcelona’s most authentic neighborhoods, Sant Andreu del Palomar, a charming local area full of history, community spirit, and delicious food. Far from the tourist crowds, we will wander through beautiful streets, lively squares, and local-run taverns where locals gather for a glass of vermouth and traditional tapas. - Meeting at Plaça Orfila, the heart of Sant Andreu del Palomar. This charming square, with its beautiful church and lively terraces, perfectly captures the local vibe. I’ll share how this area used to be an independent village before becoming part of Barcelona. - Sant Pacià Church and Gaudí’s Hidden Mosaic: Just a short walk away, we’ll visit the Church of Sant Pacià, home to one of Antoni Gaudí’s early works, a stunning mosaic that most visitors never get to see. - The Local Market of Sant Andreu, where locals buy their fresh produce daily. - Fabra i Coats, a former textile factory turned cultural center. Its red-brick industrial architecture tells the story of Sant Andreu’s working-class past, while today it’s a space for creativity, art, and community. - The Civil War Cannonball, a real cannonball embedded in a wall, a silent reminder of the Spanish Civil War. It’s one of those hidden stories that only locals know about! - We will finish the tour in Plaça Orfila, the same place where we started.
