Hi, my name is Vanessa, I am a licensed guide from Barcelona. ART HISTORIAN AND LICENSED GUIDE. SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES. I studied Art History at the University of Barcelona (UB), and I coursed the last year of the degree at the University of Parma (Italy), a lovely place where is produced the famous parmigiano cheese! When completed the degree in Italy I came back to Barcelona, but shortly after I decided to move to London (UK) where I lived during a year and a half enjoying a vibrant city full of art ! When I moved back to Barcelona I worked in art galleries and museums, like the National Museum of Art of Catalunya (MNAC), and contemporary art museum CAIXAFORUM. During the year 2006 I passed the exams and I became a Licensed tour guide. Since the first day I love my job! Meeting new people, connecting with them, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for arts. Make the customers fall in love with Barcelona and wish to come back soon is my objective! Even I am specialized in arts, I love to know and let know what's going on in the city ! I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills. Ready for the fresh new restaurants and best places for shopping, but also for the most traditional or authentic places, those ones hidden even for many locals ! I live in the heart of Barcelona. I was born close to the land that inspired Joan Miró (south of Catalonia); and I love to spend many weekends in the Empordà, north of Catalonia, where Salvador Dalí was born. - Official Guide Licence, issued by the Catalan Government. - Bachelor's Degree in Art History, University of Barcelona ( I coursed the last year of the Degree at the University of Parma (Italy) ). - Postgraduate Degree in Communication and Design at Elisava Barcelona. - RASGO Red de Juderías de España (Network of Spanish Jewish quarters), Caminos de Sefarad certification. I don’t have any restriction. I am not a driver and any tour that includes transportation will be provided by a hired driver and vehicle.

Does Pablo Picasso fascinate you and you want to learn more about it? I have a degree in Art History and I live 2 minutes walk from the Picasso Museum. Coincidence? No! My art passion is in my daily life. Barcelona was very important in Picasso 's life. Pablo Picasso arrived to Barcelona at the age of 14 and spent most of his childhood and his teenage years here. The Picasso Museum is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Picasso. Furthermore, the museum, opened in 1963, also reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona. After visiting the Picasso Museum we will visit the Old Town, Santa Maria del Mar church, the Cathedral, the Jewish quarter. .
