Market Tour & Cooking Class in a Half Day

This tour gives you the opportunity to emerge yourself into the exciting world of Mediterranean ingredients at a completely renovated local market. Markets in Barcelona are not just a place to buy food, people come to socialise, sit down for some tapas and talk about their lives. I will take you to a local market, away from tourists where we will walk past incredible fish mongers, beautifully laid out olives and pulses , vegetables counters and impressive butchers. We will buy ingredients and head to my modern, fully equipped home kitchen to cook various Mediterranean dishes using seasonal produce and other healthy ingredients.

Instead of the tourist markets, we will visit a local market where I will teach you about the ingredients that make the Mediterranean diet so unique and valuable. After our market visit we will start cooking at my modern and fully equipped kitchen and you will learn how to cook various dishes typical to this healthy cuisine. I provide Spanish wine pairing at an additional cost with the various dishes. I will explain about regions, grapes and wine that can be found on most restaurant menu's so that you know what to order when dining out. At the end of the course you will take away the recipes and you can start cooking for your friends back home!
