Enter the world of delicious and healthy tapas! Do you know the story behind "Tapas"? Tapas comes from the Spanish verb "tapar" which means to cover. In the old days when people ordered a beer or wine, the bartender would cover the glass with a little plate to avoid flies going in. Over time they put a little bite to eat on the plate in order to attract clients. Nowadays we enjoy sharing these plates of food and having a taste of a variety of dishes. I will take you an three hour journey during which we will create tapas using meat, fish and vegetables. I am very keen on using seasonal ingredients for which the Mediterranean kitchen is so well known. Step into my modern, fully equipped kitchen in the center of Barcelona. "Vamos de tapeo!"

I will show you how to make the most delicious and versatile tapas, with seasonal and local ingredients that can be found all over the world, no matter where you live. I provide the option of Spanish wine pairing at an additional cost. I will explain about the most important regions, grapes and wines that can usually be found on restaurant menu's so that you will know what to order when dining out. I will share all the recipes at the end of the course and you can start to impress your friends and family when you get home!
