We'll explore the Old Town (Gothic Quarter & Born), the historic centre of Barcelona, visiting "must-see" spots as well as hidden gems of my beloved neighbourhood! I will tell you about the city's evolution and show you how to find your way, combining my perspective as a local and as an urbanist. You will get to know historical buildings, lovely alleys, stunning squares, great monuments, hidden patios, hand craft shops and local cafes - and see the city from a different point of view! I will share insider tips with you and recommend places to enjoy Barcelona at its best!

Our tour was wonderful. Before we left on the tour, Bianca spread out a big map showing all of Barcelona. She talked about the different districts and their place in history. Since we are here for a week she also oriented us to present day Barcelona with helpful information about site seeing, transportation, and places to eat. On the tour she was very knowledgeable and told an interesting tale of ancient Barcelona answering any questions asked. She was very personable and was open in obliging us with her own interesting personal story about how she got to Barcelona and her love for the city. I highly recommend her.

We are going to walk around the Gothic Quarter and Born, the historic centre of Barcelona - Roman Wall - Barcelona Cathedral (exterior) - Plaça del Rei - Plaça Sant Felip Neri - City Hall (exterior) - Palau de la Generalitat (exterior) - Plaça Jaume . . . and many other hidden gems of this wonderful district!
