Experience authentic bodegas in the Penedés in private transportation
Overview of your Barcelona tour
This tour is ideal wine lovers who would like to discover the less known bodegas in the Penedés wine region just an hours drive away from Barcelona. This wine region is considered one of the country's best wine-producing regions after the Rioja. Moreover, it is also one of the most ancient viticultural areas in Europe. The penedés is well known for its Cava production and even though white grape varieties predominate, the region also produces some highly regarded red wines. We will visit two unique and lesser known bodegas in the Penedés area. The first one offers a highly experiential tour whilst the second bodega is known for its rich family history stunning views. We'll stroll through the beautiful beach town of Sitges where we will have lunch in the marina. We will combine walking with private transportation.
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
-I will pick you up with private transfer from your hotel or from the Port (for cruise passengers). -We will head out to the Penedés where we will first visit a bodega that has created a tour around story telling. -We will taste wine and enjoy a small "pica, pica" afterwards. -The second bodega we are visiting produces unique sparkling wines in an impressive historical setting. We'll try various wines accompanied by small bites. -After the visits we will head to Sitges to have lunch at the marina after which we will continue our tour by foot visiting the historic quarter and the beach side. The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized experience.
