Learn about the history of Barcelona while enjoying a great walk through some of its most popular markets. We will combine Food Culture with Local History. In Barcelona, all neighborhoods have their food market. We love buying fresh food at the markets. We can see lots of fruits, vegetables; fresh meat, fish and seafood straight from the fish market, a cornucopia of colors and textures. . . Without going any further, my husband and I love shopping in those markets when we really want to celebrate or surprise our guests. Such is the freshness of their products !! Let me guide you through La Boquería, the most popular on La Rambla, and Santa Caterina, recently restored. We could enjoy some tasting on the way if you wish so!! This tour is not available on Sunday, Bank holidays or the month of August as the Boqueria Market and many stores are closed. Another aspect: On Monday, markets in general, are not so great since many spots are closed.
