Overview of your Barcelona tour
We’ll start in the heart of the old town to visit the stunning Palau de la Música, one of the most breathtaking buildings in the city, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, a very important architects and a professor of Gaudí. I’ll share its history, its Modernist architecture, and all those fascinating details and hidden stories that most visitors miss. In Barcelona we also know how to live (and eat!) well, we can stop for some delicious churros with hot chocolate at an authentic, traditional spot , one of those places locals have loved for generations. Afterwards, we’ll head to Palau Güell, one of Gaudí’s earliest works and far less crowded than his more famous buildings. Here I’ll explain how Mr. Güell gave Gaudí an almost unlimited budget to create a palace that would showcase his power and prestige and how this project marked the beginning of many of the ideas that would later define Gaudí’s style.
