Greetings, travelers! I'm Jaime, your licensed tour guide in Barcelona. Before we meet in "La Ciutat Comtal" ("the City of the Counts", another way to call it Barcelona), I can tell you a bit about myself. I have been working as a tour guide since 2018, welcoming private groups and larger groups as well. Even though I was born in Colombia, I fell in love with the city when I used to come to visit my dad's family during the Christmas holidays. As you can see, my father and I have traded places. He is still enjoying living in "La Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera" (in this case is Medellin, yet another nickname. By the way, what's the one for your hometown?). Before discovering my passion for guiding, I worked in an airline, the hospitality industry, and education for more than 20 years in Paris, Barcelona, and Seoul. It seems that in my DNA there are genes leading me to expand thresholds and share my passion for culture, history, and language. Barcelona is a city that has a lot to offer: history, art, gastronomy, traditions, secrets, and much more. And from here, you can reach interesting places in Catalonia, such as Montserrat, the Costa Brava, and important vineyards. I will be more than happy to help you discover, or rediscover, the city, creating together an experience according to your interests and expectations. We can go for the highlights of the city, aiming for Antoni Gaudi (7 of his projects are UNESCO world heritage sites), the Gothic Quarter (gothic?), Montjuïc and its Olympic Park, different Art Nouveau sites, and finding out why there is a Picasso Museum in Barcelona. I remain at your disposal to start tailoring your trip to "La Ciutat Comtal". Official Guide License (number 3029), issued by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia Degree in Tourism Information and Marketing Member of AGUICAT (Professional licensed tour guides Association of Catalonia). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

In spite of not being as well known abroad as Gaudi, Lluís Domènech I Montaner is considered by many as the master of the Modernisme, the Art Nouveau in Catalonia. A multifaceted man whose projects are a perfect balance of structural design and decorative elements; he left a path followed by the architects who came after him. Hospital de Sant Pau was the outcome of six centuries of evolution in medical care in Barcelona. A site whose structural and decorative elements had a therapeutic function and where everyone has a guardian angel. El Palau de la Música Catalana is a beautiful music box in the heart of La Ribera neighborhood, in the Old Town. It was designed to be a concert hall for all types of music, following the principle that music is universal and inherent to all cultures. It's an exquisite Art Nouveau garden that makes dream even the most demanding orchestra conductors, musicians and performers. Both places were declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997
