***FULLY LICENSED TOUR GUIDE #2754 (since 2010) *** SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES Hi! I am Francesc. I was born in Barcelona when it was not a touristic city. Little by little the city became tourist and I went into this world (more than 25 years ago). Nowadays, I'm a guide and this is my full time job: I really enjoy doing it. I offer Private tours all over Barcelona and Catalonia (Montserrat, Cadaqués, Costa Brava, Dalí, etc). My clients say I am very passionate when I tour them. Well, I put myself in their shoes and I think: one trip sometimes is the result of a long time, maybe months or years preparing it. When you travel, you are going to an unexplored land, but you wish everything goes perfect: your flight, your hotel and, of course, your tour guide. I realize if you decide to take a tour guide it is because you think it's the best way to know this place. Therefore, my responsibility is huge in order to live up to your expectations. That's why I will do everything in my power to make your trip perfect. If you look for a more personal and enjoyable tour, just let yourself be amazed!!! ***FULLY LICENSED TOUR GUIDE #2754 (since 2010) *** SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES (see the license picture in my profile pictures) Member of the APIT Barcelona (Association of Professional Tourist Guides). Member of the AGUICAT (Association of Professional Tourist Guides in Catalonia). "Winter; time of calçots" Recently this dish has become so popular that today is a fun activity that we do in winter with our friend: "a calçotada". When you deep these tiny and long onion in the specific sauce and you hand it in front of your mouth is when you understand why we call this an experience. (Gloves and a bib will be given to you; but be ready for the worst picture of you from your friends) The "calçotada" is only possible in winter; some restaurants only offer this menu in this season: "calçots with meat or grilled vegetables"; wine and a catalane dessert will complete our meal. As they have to be cooked with intensive fire, an antient farmer-house reconverted in a ristorante is the proper place for this meal. Close to the famous lands of calçots we have two impressive Cistercian monasteries, so important that both became the tomb of the kings of the Catalane-Aragon crown. We will visit one of them.
Trip to the monastery of Poblet which is an hour driving time away from Barcelona. Let's talk about Catalonia, our traditions, language, culture, history. - Inner visit of the monastery of Poblet - Lunch in a countryside restaurant for calçots and meat (other dishes are possible). Note: we will also visit either the monastery of Santes Creus or the small town of Montblanc. Important: usually there are calçots from late November until beginnings of April. But we can also do this tour with another menu.
