We will explore on foot the must-see sites of the old city. The old city, also known as the Gothic quarter with more than 2000 years of history, from roman to present times. The Gothic Cathedral constructed in 1298, the main political institutions, the roman city walls. . I will explain you lots of curiosities and stories on and around La Rambla street and also visit the inside of the amazing and colourful Boqueria food market, where I will tell you about the history and show you what the locals shop. Here, you will get some free time for shopping. Do you want to know where one of the oldest Synagogues in Europe is located? The Jewish area will also be visited in this tour. If, after the guided tour, you want to taste the best hot chocolate with churros in town or even have Tapas & Sangria, I will show where to go. *This walking tour is ideal for all ages.

We had a wonderful and fascinating three hour tour of the Gothic Quarter with Mar. She showed us interesting aspects of the area from ancient times to how people are living there today. She is well informed and engaging, always open for questions. She has superb command of English. On this trip, our second with Mar, she spotted a pickpocket team in the plaza and warned us and others. She photographed them and reported to the police. Such a proactive move. It made us much more aware of our surroundings thereafter. We would tour with Mar again if we ever return to Barcelona. Thank you.

Meeting Mar was the highlight of a 3 day Barcelona visit. She is delightful and so knowledgeable. She met us every morning promptly at the agreed upon time at our hotel. On our first day we did a walking tour of the Old City and surroundings. She made some suggestions for dining and shopping but left us to experience her wonderful city on our own with good instructions as to how to return to our hotel. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction. Mar is a great ambassador for the city she loves.
