My name is Josep, and I arrived casually to be a tourist guide in 2008, when I did my exams to be a Licensed Catalan Guide. So I'm not the tipical guide who studied Tourism but is not interested in other aspects. . . not, that's not my case. My case is the opposite: I found tourism because it likes me, not because I studied, it's different. I've been teaching since 2000, and I thought that touring would be more or less the same than Teaching, but with people more motivated. Also, I could talk about my subjects of interest, subjects I never studied but I read a lot: History, Art, Music, Food, Jewels, Fashion, Gardening, Catalan Culture, Jews, Politics. . . Aesthetics basically and Society, always mixed. To be a good guide you have to read and be curious, not a gossip person, but interested in the world and the people, and anecdotes are very significant to explain History and life. My background is Political Science and Economics, so subjects very different to my hobbies. I think is important to be transversal in Life, not to cultivate the same things in all the aspects of your daily life. World is becoming more and more transversal, transgobal, and I can offer a service touring people interested in curiosities, anecdotes and comparison to other cultures, but seeing the Catalan point of view, with content and synthesis. And also manners. To be a guide you need to be patient and also to be a good listener. So don't wait and book a tour with me! I'll show you Catalonia and all the peculiarities of this smart land !! Degree in Political Science (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) Diplomma in Business Studies ( Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) Catalonia Licensed Guide-Number 2787 Studies of Ballet, Sol-fa and Transverse Flute, (Conservatori de Música Oscar Esplà-Alacant) I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

"We don't know if we have licensed an architect or a fool. Time will tell". You will agree on that doubt of Elias Rogent, Gaudi's Architecture College Dean pronounced in the graduation ceremony of the architect, in 1878, after seeing with your eyes the Sagrada Família, his magnum opus. "The Cathedral of the Poors" is the icon of the city and where all the Gaudi's ideas and fears can be observed. . . you will discover with my visit his countryside background and tynker family roots. After that, we will go to catch his best positive period, before his 60's, in the Park Güell: that tremendous and crazy project of the billionaire family who married with no love but they had 10 kids. . . and where you'll understand why he is so modern: environment and recycling are the keys of this failed Park on the hills of the city. The last part of the tour is the Mountain of the Jews, Montjuïc, the place where the Olympics took place: stunning views and lots of pics. Come on!!!
- Pick up from hotel and route to Sagrada Família (15minutes) - Visit Sagrada Família Basilica, inside and outside. (1 hour and 30 minutes) -Route to Park Güell, we will stop at Casa Milà and Casa Batlló to take some photos and explain those monuments. (1 hour) -Restroom time (15 minutes) -Visit of the Park Güell inside (1 hour and minutes). -Route to Montjuïc mountain, passing by the Olympic Ring area (Stadium and Olympic Tower), Magic Fountain, Spain's Square and Ancien Bullring, and stoping for 15 minutes at the National Museum terrace or Miramar terrace) (45 minutes) -Drop off to the hotel. (15 minutes). Alternative visits: -Customize the tour according your feelings, wishes. -Visit the seaside façade instead of Montjuic one, stoping by the beach. -Visit the center of the city, instead of Park Güell or Sagrada Família. The Kings of Aragon palace close mondays. This tour can change, depending the wills, timmings or circumstances of weather or customers, all my tours are tailor-made.
