Overview of your Barcelona tour
Spanish gastronomy is one of the richest in flavours and dishes because its great variety of landscapes and the different civilizations that lived here: the dry and hot plains of Andalucia, the lush and green valleys of the Basque Country, Cantabria and Galicia, cows, goats and lambs pasturing the hills of the Pyreness mountain range, the Atlantic Ocean on the North and West and the Mediterranean Sea on the East and South. During this four hour tour we will explore the Medieval district of Barcelona to discover some of the best tapas bars in this area of Barcelona as well as beautiful 100 year old shops. We shall stop in two or three different places for tapas and dessert. But before the tapas We will explore either La Boqueria or Santa Caterina fresh food markets, both markets opened in the middle of the XIX century and are the largest in Barcelona. We will walk through the narrow alleys of the market and will sample some unique products.

This is mainly a walking tour, Old City Barcelona was not built to be driven by cars or mini vans, the streets and alleys are very narrow. Most of the streets we will explore are just for pedestrians. All the streets are paved and we can avoid steps by using ramps.
