We had a great private tour with Tomasz to the Wieliczka Salt Mines! He was very accommodating, informative and friendly. As he drove us to the mines he had great stories and information about Krakow and then took us to an amazing restaurant not visited by many tourists! After touring the depths of the mine, he took us a different way back to Krakow with beautiful city views. He gave us great recommendations of what else to see in Krakow and provided us with a list of great restaurants. Very memorable!
Your Krakow tour itinerary
First, I'll pick you up from your accommodation in Krakow and we'll head straight to the town of Wieliczka (about 30 minutes). Once we arrive, I'll show you some of the highlights and hidden gems of Wieliczka: St Clement's Church, the courtyard of the 'Zupny' Castle, John Paul II Park and the town's main square (45 mins). After a walk we'll reach the main shaft building, where a local guide will take you on a 2-2. 5 hour tour of the mine's underground chambers and tunnels, explaining the site's history and significance. You will be admiring the stunning salt sculptures that have been created by generations of miners. You will learn what life was like for the miners who worked in the mine for centuries. After your tour of the Salt Mine, I will take you back to Krakow. Along the way, you can relax in the comfortable vehicle and reflect on your unforgettable experience.
