Hello, my name is Aga. I was born in Krakow and since then it's been my place on Earth. I graduated from the Japanese Philology at the Jagiellonian University. I used to work in a big corporation but one day I decided to quit my job. I signed up to the course for the professional guides. After I had passed all difficult exams, I got a certificate and the badge with the coat of arms of Kraków and number 333. My dreams came true and now I do the best job ever. I show people around my home town. Some say I'm lucky because I do what I love. That's right. I've guided hundreds of groups, couples, singles, children, families, company workers. Some of them became my friends and still come back to Kraków. Some post their reviews and comments on my Facebook page, some send emails… so many warm words… It makes me a happy guide. Oskar Schindler was as a German enterpreneur, an owner of DEF Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik, a brave man who saved 1200 Jews from the Holocaust by employing them at his factory in Kraków and Brunlitz ( Czechoslovakia). In 1962 he was recognized as the Righteous Among the Nations. However the Schindler's Factory Emalia is not any autobiographical museum as many tourists think. Of course it's located in the former administrative building built by Oskar Schindler in 1942 but most of all it's the story of the people who lived in Kraków during the II World War.
Aga was absolutely fabulous. She is a native of Krakow, clearly cares very much about the subject matter, communicates very well, kept our private tour informed and moving along the various stops, but was very much open to questions. She's kind, personable, and very knowledgeable about the city, its past, and its future. 10/10 recommend her.
Aga was a fantastic guide and we are grateful to have had her. She is extremely knowledgeable but even more importantly sensitive to her tourists needs. We are older travelers and often walk slowly and need special attention. She did all that and more. We owe our successful trip to Krakow to Aga. Agnieszka is *the* person you should look for in Krakow for any history tour. My group did the Schindler Museum tour - and it was fantastic. Aga's knowledge of the history is one thing. But what makes a tour with her extra special - is the passion that she brings in the telling of the history. I will definitely be reaching out to Agnieszka when I return to Krakow for future tours - I recommend 100 %.
Aga provided a historical overview that was both an academic and intellectual experience. I felt sorry for all the tourists walking through the museum and having a superficial experience In comparison.
We'll walk along the streets of the occupied Kraków. You will see the city, you will meet the people and will listen to the story that leaves my tourists speechless. Every year I give 200-260 guided tours at the museum :-) I'll be glad to welcome you at the Factory and take one of them!
