My attitude towards my country was shaped by my family: the grandparents, all of whom still had the trauma and vivid memories of World War II, and my parents, who spent their 20s watching the long-awaited fall of communism. This background is the reason for my fascination with the 20th century history. It makes me extremely proud that after 30 years of struggle to "catch up with the West" Poland is gaining so much recognition from world travelers and I feel privileged to get to share with you the amazing history and culture of my country! For my education, I chose two faculties: Tourism and English Language & Culture. Now, after 11 years of working as a city guide and tour leader, I believe this was a perfect combination which helped me provide first-class service to my guests. My energy, sunny disposition, and fascination with Krakow are contagious and will make your visit here worthwhile never mind the weather or time of day! Zuzanna was able to take what was a mentally difficult day and turn it into a more meaningful educational, but less traumatic experience. She was able to cater our tour to both our 8 year old daughter and 80 year old great uncle. I highly recommend her services.

This tour offered by Zuzanna is exceptional. First of all, she is a wonderful guide with a great command of English - she spent a year in the US as an exchange student. The trip to Auschwitz is over an hour each way, but Zuzanna offered useful information and insights both ways. Auschwitz-Birkenau has their own trained guides, but for an extra sum a small group can have a private tour. We took the general tour which was fine for us, but Zuzanna can help if one wants a more personal private tour. Then Zuzanna provided a tour of the Polish village nearby, Oswiecim, which was a majority Jewish community before the war. There is a synagogue museum in the village which was interesting to see. It makes for a very unique and profound experience. We highly recommend her tour.
Zuzanna was a fantastic guide, who looked after us really well throughout the day. She gave us plenty of much-needed context and background en route to Auschwitz, and was extremely knowledgeable and interested in our family history - which made all the difference to our emotionally charged visit.
I wrote a great review and then the website told me it was too long. Haha. Trust me! This 11 private tour is everything we hoped for and so much more. What an incredible day and what an incredible guide! This tour alone made the trip to Poland worth the expense!
