Cześć! I'm Tomasz, a licensed local guide in Krakow since 2017 - and someone who truly believes that the best way to experience a city is through its stories. With a Master’s degree in International Affairs and a deep passion for history, especially World War II and Polish heritage, I offer more than just dates and facts - I connect the past with the present in a way that's engaging, meaningful, and tailored to you. I’ve guided travelers from all over the world through Krakow’s charming streets, hidden corners, and powerful historical sites. Whether it’s a deep-dive into our complex 20th-century history or a relaxed city walk full of anecdotes and fun facts, I adjust the pace, depth, and focus of every tour to your interests. If you’re looking for a guide who’s knowledgeable, easygoing, and genuinely excited to show you Krakow through local eyes - I’d love to be your host! My credentials: - city guide license issued in 2017 - tour leader state license issued in 2013 - Schindler's Factory guide license issued in 2021 - MA degree in International Affairs - graduated in 2016

Overview of your Krakow tour

There are two options for visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum: 1) To join join a regular shared group of about 30 individual tourists. The Museum runs English-speaking tours every half an hour - 150 PLN/person 2) To arrange a private Museum guide just for you - 970 PLN/group The entry passes for either of these tours must be fully paid at the time of booking. This amount will be paid directly to me when I confirm the availability of your preferred option and date.

Please GO on this tour! Our guide, Tomasz, was fantastic - he does not need to improve a single thing. He has such a pleasant personality and is brilliant in his knowledge of history and all things Krakow/Auschwitz Birkenau. His English is excellent. The drive went by quickly as we enjoyed conversation with Tomasz, and his insights prepared us for the sobering tour ahead. A different guide took us through the camps (as required by Auschwitz) and we each had an earpiece for most of the tour, which really made it easy to hear. (Birkenau does not offer earpieces and we wished it were possible.) School children in Poland are required to visit the camps --- to me it seems that residents of the world should be required as well. This staggering piece of world history must be understood by all. I highly recommend this tour.

Tomasz is an incredible guide. He kept us on pace, took care of all the details, gave great insight and context, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. I highly recommend Tomasz!

My visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau was profoundly moving, and Tomasz played an essential role in ensuring the experience was both seamless and meaningful. He thoughtfully organized every detail, liaising directly with the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum to secure an official guide. His careful coordination allowed me to focus entirely on the site's significance. Tomasz brings a deep understanding of the history and a clear appreciation for the sensitivity the subject demands. He communicated with respect, clarity, and composure, balancing historical depth with space for reflection. His command of English is excellent, and his explanations were nuanced and articulate throughout. This was far more than a tour — it was an experience of learning and remembrance. I am very grateful for Tomasz’s professionalism and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a thoughtful, reflective visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Fantastic tour!! Tomasz was friendly, timely, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. We had a great - even if overwhelmingly sad given the nature of the tour - time with him. I would highly recommend him for this and other tours that he gives.

We would give Tomasz even more than 5 stars, if possible! We feel extremely fortunate to have had Tomasz as our guide to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mine. He carefully arranged all the details to be sure our visits went smoothly. He made sure we saw all the most important features of each site and those along the way -- including sites at Auschwitz-Birkenau not usually seen on official tours and information about buildings we passed along the way to these sites. Our time with him definitely was a highlight of our Krakow experience.

Tomek arranged a perfectly memorable day. I don’t think one can say they “enjoyed” their visit to Auschwitz/Berkenau, but with Tomek’s help, it was smooth and trouble free. We left early (0645) from our hotel in Krakow and arrived about little after 0800 for our arranged 0830 tour. He walked to the entrance, got our tickets and took us to the tour start point. He said we would meet after the Auschwitz 1 part of the tour (conducted by A/B guides). The local guide was excellent, though they keep a good pace through the camp exhibits to get all the groups through. After part 1, He was there with water/snacks for the short break before boarding A/B shuttle buses to Birkenau for the 2nd half of the tour. Our A/B guide met us again and walked around Birkenau which leaves you with a sense of the massive loss of life that surrounds you. After, he met us and drove home by 1400. Fluent English
