Fall in love with Krakow with a friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable tour guide! My name is Alicja and I've been guiding tourists for years. I have an official license of a guide and a tour leader granted by the local authorities. I often work with small groups of people having Polish roots so I have a huge experience in genealogy tours and genealogy research. I'm fascinated with the history of former, multicultural Galicia and its inhabitants - Christians, Jews, Lemkos and Germans. I specialise in the Jewish heritage tours - I cooperate with Galicia Jewish Museum and Taube Foundation - and wooden architecture tours. I can help you to organise your day trips to Zakopane, Wieliczka, Auschwitz etc. as well as customised tours to other places of interest. I'm a foodie too so I know the best places to eat out in the area :-) I'd love to show you around my magic city of Krakow! I have a license of a tour guide of Krakow and I'm also a museum guide in the Schindler's Factory and Underground Museum of the Main Market Square. I also took a special course in the Jewish history of the region at the Galicia Jewish Museum. I do not have a license to give tours inside of Wieliczka Salt Mine nor inside of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum (they have their own local guides).

This is the "Highlights of Krakow tour". But never in a hurry, that's for sure! We will take a leisurely walk around the Old Town to see the most beautiful sites of Krakow's Old Town. In general the tour follows so-called Royal Route which retraces the path followed by Polish kings heading for their Residence on the Wawel Hill. It runs across the most magnificent sites of Krakow's Old Town, like the Main Market Square, St. Mary's Church, university district and the former seat of Polish kings. What my travellers enjoy most about this tour is that you can see a lot in a short time - in the Old Town all the architectural and historical highlights are within the walking distance. And they are truely beautiful!

Our guide, Alicja, gave a great overview of the Old Town, showing us where to go (and where not to go - the overly-touristy parts). This was a great start to our exploration of Kraków.
Our Half-Day Krakow Old Town Tour with Alicja helped us appreciate even more what an amazing city Krakow is. She was so friendly and knowledgeable about Krakow Old Town and the Jewish quarter, and she helped us understand how history shaped the modern city. It was also a plus that we did our tour with her before we visited Auschwitz as we were able to better understand what happened and why. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Alicja!
If we could, we would give Alicja more than five stars! We have been lucky enough to have taken many private tours throughout Europe, but this was by far our favorite tour we have taken. As this was our first visit to Krakow, we booked this tour to get an overview of the town and its history. Alicja was the ideal host. Following a warm welcome, we quickly realized how lucky we were to have Alicja. During our 3 hours we received insights into Krakow's history, culture, art, religion and architecture. Every stop was well thought out, each providing a glimpse into the personality of Krakow. Alicja was kind enough to include some of her personal family history, which gave a name and face to the facts and figures, making for a much more intimate portrait of Poland and Krakow. Her warm personality greatly added to the whole experience. By the end of our tour, we felt like we had just spent three hours with a friend we had known for years.
The half day walking tour with Alicja was great. We learned so much from her and we saw places we never would have found on our own - including a great lunch spot! We are in our 70’s and were traveling with a couple of 20 year olds, but Alicja kept everyone engaged. It was a wonderful experience - strongly recommend booking her if you can!
Well what can we say ... Just a fabulous tour. Alicja was the perfect guide and everything we could have hoped for. Alicja was wonderful with our family and my 84 year old mother. She was so patient and kind. Alicja had lots of wonderful information and personal stories which were quite moving. We had originally planned to stop for coffee or food, but the tour was so great, we didn't even notice the time go by and we forgot!! Alicja was great and I'd highly recommend any tour with her as your guide!

It's a walking tour as you're not allowed to drive your car in the historical centre of Krakow.
