Krakow is a city with a rich history and a multicultural heritage. You will never regret the time spent visiting this city. Of course, I will be happy to accompany you as your private guide. In the vicinity of Krakow is difficult to count the number of places that are really worth a visit during a half or full day trip. Take only the Wieliczka Salt Mine or Auschwitz-Birkenau, which together with the Krakow's Old Town is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In addition, after just 2 hours of driving you can find yourself in the Polish Tatras mountains with such a different culture and taste that characterizes Polish highlanders. There are also options for pilgrims who would like to follow the footsteps of Pope John Paul II. I invite you to visit all these places with me. We can do one trip together or combine a multi-day route tailored to your expectations. I am also open to traveling with you to other places that are not listed on my trip list. Overview of your Krakow tour
The Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa is a famous Polish shrine to the Virgin Mary and one of the most important places of pilgrimage for Catholics all over the world. It is also an important place for me because, like many Poles, I grew up in a house with a copy of the Black Madonna from Częstochowa on the wall. I would like to take you there so that you can understand why this particular painting and this monastery are so important. You will have the possibility to have a private tour in the interior of the monastery provided by a local Pauline monk who will explain to you all stories related to this holy place. After the tour will be also possible to take part in a holy mass in front of the Black Madonna painting (please tell me during booking of this tour whether you are interested). Jasna Gora Monastery is a big piece of important Polish history, therefore it invites not only the followers of the religion.

Czestochowa is well worth visiting, especially in view of its cultural and religious relevance in Poland. Organising the tour was very straightforward. Aleksander was very knowledgeable and the group enjoyed the day very much. I would recommend this tour as a day trip from Krakow.

My group of 4, could not have been more satisfied with Alex and how much he enriched our trip to see Our Lady of Czestochowa. In excellent English, Alex was able to provide important background information on what we were to see which made the experience more meaningful. He also made sure that we were always with him or the Czestochowa guide so we were never confused as to where to go in such a crowded place. Alex's vast knowledge of Polish history make him the perfect guide.

Absolutely wonderful day with Alex. We learned so much about the history of Poland on the ride to and from Jasna Gora. He arranged for guided tour in English and also made sure we had seats at a very crowded Sunday mass in the chapel which was a truly moving experience. On the way back to Krakow, we drove through part of the Trail of Eagles Nest to see the Pieskowa Skala castle. Alex also made a reservation for dinner and Klezmer concert and dropped us off at the restaurant in Kazimierz.
