Uncover recent history when you visit Auschwitz (Oświęcim)/Birkenau (Brzezinka) concentration camp - a sobering, permanent reminder of the atrocities of World War II, where St Maximilian Kolbe and St Edith died - UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be guided through various sections of the camp, including the prisoner barracks, the infamous "Arbeit Macht Frei" gate, the central square, and the death wall where prisoners were executed. Throughout the tour, informative exhibits, photographs, and personal belongings of the victims provide a chilling insight into the daily life and unimaginable suffering endured by those imprisoned at Auschwitz. Birkenau is vast and sprawling, with rows upon rows of prisoner barracks, ruins of gas chambers and crematoria, and the haunting remnants of the infamous railway ramp. You will imagine the scale and industrialized nature of the Holocaust, where millions of innocent lives were systematically annihilated.
Voytek looked after us very well, buying our tickets in advance, driving us out from Krakow helping us navigate through the crowds to our tour. He was very informative and interesting on the terrible story of Auschwitz and is excellent at his job and great company. Thank you Voytek.
We did the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour - Voytek drove us there. He was punctual, a safe driver, and kept us informed throughout the journey. Before the visit, he gave a thoughtful and respectful overview of what to expect, helping us better understand the history and what people went through. It was a long and emotional day, but on the way back, Voytek took the time to show us other parts of Krakow that weren't on our itinerary. It was a generous and much appreciated gesture. A sobering but important experience - Voytek handled it with care and professionalism.
Voytek crafted the perfect itinerary for us. His explanation of what to expect at Auschwitz - Birkenow was spot on. My wife has minor mobility issues and Voytek found the best caves and walking routes to accommodate her in one of Poland’s national parks. He even provided healthy snacks and lunch!
Visiting Auschwitz/Birkenau is a must do for everyone. The tour is well executed and the value of the educational information is exceptional. It is very important that all people learn about the worst moments of human history so as not to repeat them. Voytek's facilitation of this tour was excellent. He communicated the available times for tours and the associated pick up times. He arrived timely on the date and time selected, and his explanation of his personal history, Polish history and what we would experience at the camps all added up to an excellent day. We highly recommend Voytek's services. You will learn much about Poland that you might not find out on your own.
Voytek is a fantastic tour guide. He is a lovely and kind person and very knowledgeable. He looked after my 2 daughters and I very well. We had our original tour cancelled and luckily we found Voytek. He went out of his way to ensure we would get into Auschwitz even when tickets were near impossible to get at the time. He provided excellent personalised service. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and I can't recommend him enough.
