Auschwitz and Krakow city tour

Marta took our list of places around Krakow and created a wonderful tour - and even though she knew it would be a long day, she made sure we saw what we needed to see and had fun along the way. From the gut-wrenching reverence of Auschwitz to seeing the Black Madonna on a pilgrimage day to enjoying the Pope’s Cream Cake on the main square of Wadowice, Marta guided us, patiently waited for our photo stops and shared her knowledge and understanding with us the whole way. She understood that since we are older, we moved slower and she navigated to shorten our walking as much as possible. Marta was a great choice for our guide!

Auschwitz is remarkable. This is an emotive tour. NOTE that the first half of the tour is Marta (w her wonderful husband) driving you to Auschwitz where you will join a group tour at the site and not lead by Marta, which was perfectly fine as the group tour guide had so much history I would be stunned if Marta could have done better. Following that tour, then it is a wonderful time driving back, having great local cuisine, and seeing ALL of the history of Krakow. Honestly I wish I could have booked a day and a half or two days…simply an amazing time and city. Marta and Czester are wonderful - this is a very good tour.

Marta was fantastic. Very passionate; incredibly knowledgeable; keen to make sure she covered things of interest to us. She didn't rush. She was thorough. You can't ask more than that. You got a wonderful sense of the history of the Krakow region - from the heights of Wawel Hill, to the Jewish Quarter, the Schindler's List landmarks, and even where to get great hot chocolate. She has her own personal memories to add to the mix. You can't go wrong with Marta - I can highly recommend her.

Marta did such an amazing job taking care of us! She met us promptly and gave us a very informative walking tour of Krakow. She pointed out highlights, answered questions, and was so warm and friendly. When we went to Auschwitz she always walked us to where we needed to be and met us again so we never wondered what we needed to do next. Her knowledge of the area is incredible. She is so thoughtful too and even called ahead to have an authentic dinner experience for us. All 5 of us highly recommend her.

Marta is a true professional and a great joy to tour with. She was consistently helpful and ensured that I safely navigated some very treacherous walking surfaces. She's a wonderful, safe driver, and I felt privileged to have her all to myself on our tour.
