Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp - the fortified walls, barbed wires, platforms, barracks, gallows, gas chambers and cremation ovens show the conditions within which the Nazi genocide took place in the formed concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz- Birkenau. The largest and the most terrible in the Third Reich. According to historical investigations, at least 1. 5 million people, among them a great number of Jews, were systematically starved, tortured and murdered in this camp. The world known symbol of humanity's cruelty to its fellow human beings in the 20th century. Next I will show you the best examples of failures and successes in "the royal city". Kraków - the city which dates back to the 7th and was the official capital of Poland till the XVII century, has experienced a lot. I will show you places which experienced this history and tell you about people that have created it. I will tell you how they dealt with failures and successes.
