Fly over the Nazca Lines
Overview of your Lima tour
Pampas of San Jose. 25 km / 16 miles from Nasca (15 minutes). Kilometer marker 149 of the Pan-American Highway South It is a vast network of lines and drawings of animals and plants credited to the Nasca culture covering an area of approximately 350 km2 / 135 miles2. Some of the best drawn figures are the hummingbird, the dog, the monkey, and the long-tailed mockingbird. The German, Maria Reiche, devoted 50 years of her life to studying and researching the area and came to the conclusion that it was an astronomical calendar. From a 12 meter / 39 feet lookout, you can partially observe the shapes of the hand and the tree. However, in order to appreciate the drawings fully, it is recommended to fly over the area in a small airplane. The Nasca Lines were placed on the World Cultural Heritage List in 1994.

Evelyn is a gem. I first met her in 2018 for a tour through Lima and just got back from my second trip with her. We went all the way to the Nazca Lines to do a fly over and visited the oasis of Huacachina and Ica. It was great fun. Her brother was our driver. He was very good in getting us safe to and from Lima. He can even change a tire :) I am glad we got to do a second tour. Should I be in Peru again I will call on her again. Thanks. -Andrea

I spent several days with Evelyn and enjoyed every minute of it! She knows not only a lot about the sites which we visited but she also new a lot of nice local restaurants with great food. Moreover, she was very flexible to adjust on the spot the program when asked (of course within the reasonable possibilities). Furthermore, everything was well organized and going very smoothly. Bottom line, great tours in a beautiful country with a great guide!

Your Lima tour itinerary
The tour starts early -The bus leaves Lima and takes about 7 hours to reach the town of Nazca. -When we reach the town of Nazca we will take a taxi to the airport and take the flight around the lines. You will be able to see around 15 figures for about 45 minutes. -Before we have to go back to Lima we will have the time to walk around Nazca and find a place to have lunch. * It is possible to add one or two days to the itinerary by request for customization.
