Our tour begins in Larco Museum, the best one of Perú to watch Mochica culture pottery, the best of all Perú that was found in northern coast by Rafael Larco Hoyle, founder of that museum. Then, we go to Lima Center to visit one Monastery (San Francisco or Santo Domingo). Colonial mansions and balconies, Government Palace, Main Square, San Pedro Church, San Martín Square. During the tour, we go to a local restaurant for Lunch. After we go to San Isidro, see of many embassies, to visit Huaca Huallamarca, pre-Inca truncated pyramid and Olive Park. Miraflores is one of the most modern zones of Lima, very famous for Larcomar, mall and nice balcony to watch the magnificense of the sea and the Love Park, known for its sculpture The Kiss, by local artist Victor Delfin. Then, we go to Barranco, old beach town of Lima, famous for the Bridge of Sighs, favorite place for lovers and its mansions of the XIX and XX centuries. Finally, we'll go up to Solar Headland, shanty town and natural lookout to watch Lima. End
Alfredo was able to accommodate last minutes changes to the itinerary and still fit in all the places I wanted to visit. Peru is a beautiful city, and the Larco Musuem with all the amazing pottery was a highlight. This tour is a great way to see the highlights of Lima!
If only there was more time! Alfredo is very knowledgeable, especially with historic perspectives, and he seems to know everyone along the way. I had been to Lima before, so Alfredo tailored the tour, and we were able to spend more in-depth time at the museums and other sites. I learned so much more about Peruvian history, culture, and local lore. We even climbed a bell tower!
Alfredo met us on time at our shuttle stop. We immediately threw him a curve ball. Our travel agent had provided a tour with the same itinerary the day before. It was not a problem. Alfredo was flexible, knowledgeable and showed us other sites in Lima which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend him.
Can't emphasize enough the value of a knowledgeable guide accompanied by an experienced Lima driver when your time is limited in a city as large as Lima. Alfredo was that guide for us. His tour was very informative and well organized as he and our driver maneuvered through a very busy city to hit the highlights. Alfredo knows the City's history well and shares that knowledge as we visited various municipalities within the City. Highly recommend Alfredo!
Alfredo was a five star guide!! He was very professional and knowledgable. We had a driver so that Alfredo was able to talk with us without distraction. They met us at the airport and took us to the colonial city center. Was a beautiful city and saw so many wonderful places. We all shared a wonderful lunch at a museum. It was a very full day and we were able to get to the airport for our evening flight.
Alfredo was very knowledgeable and made sure that we were comfortable at all times. The car was very clean. Great tour if you want to see a lot of lima in one day.
