Explore Chiclayo your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Chiclayo tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Chiclayo for every interest, including:

Layover tours: From CIX, a focused private tour can take you straight to the Tumbas Reales de Sipán Museum in Lambayeque to see the gold regalia of the Lord of Sipán, followed by a quick tasting of King Kong alfajores at a local shop. If time allows, add a short walk on the Pimentel pier for sea air before returning.

History tours: Visit the Huaca Rajada–Sipán archaeological site to stand near the original tomb platforms, then continue to the Túcume Pyramids and its site museum to learn about the Lambayeque culture. Climb the viewpoint for a sweeping look over dozens of adobe pyramids.

Art and Culture tours: Meet herbalists at Chiclayo’s Mercado de Brujos to learn about traditional remedies, then head to Monsefú to see straw weaving and fine embroidery in local workshops. Your guide can arrange a marinera dance demo and a taste of chicha de jora at a neighbourhood peña.

Chiclayo’s centre is walkable, but public minibuses are crowded and routes can be confusing for visitors. Private transportation or a chauffeured tour keeps museum, market, and pyramid stops efficient.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Chiclayo inside and out.
