Hi, my name is Edgar, very nice to meet you! I'm from Lima city and I've been working here as a licensed tour guide for 7 years now. Guiding and sharing small details, as well as highlights of my country, culture, and traditions to visitors from all over the world is more than just a job to me, it is one of my life's greatest passions. I'm very proud of my heritage since I consider myself as a half indigenous and half spanish descendant. On my tours, I always like to outline and focus not only on the Inca Society (one of the greatest in this part of the world back in the day )but also I focus on the Pre - Inca civilizations as there were many; in that way, you will have a better understanding about our past and historical background. Our history is very old, unique, and diverse, every epoch of it has its own enchantment and that's why it's so interesting On the other hand, my hobbies are spending time with people I love, friends and relatives, watching movies and documentaries; and listening to rock, pop, and some hip-hop music. I enjoy nature too, so every once in a while I take a family trip to the mountains in Peru, which is so relaxing anf peacefull. And last but not least, I also like to meet new people from all over and learn about their culture and traditions, so during your stay in Lima, you will not only find a tour guide in me but also a friend. Come and visit my country, we are going to spend a nice and customized time together! I'm an Official licensed tour guide by the Peruvian Ministry of Tourism I have a degree at Tourism by Cepea Specialized Tourism School. Educated at Icpna , specialized languages school I'm not allowed to pick you up from a cruise ship since independent tour guides currently are not allowed into the docking zone at Callao port. Our tour starts by visiting The Pachacamac Sanctuary, one of the most important archeological sites in Peru, we visit its site museum containing a nice collections of ancient artifacts, then we visit its impressive archeological zone to see different pre-Inca and Inca buildings from different epochs. Then we go back to Miraflores for lunch-time. In the afternoon we go to Downtown Lima Historic center. There we will be passing by the area known as The Small Wall Street , then we go to the Main Square where we will do a panoramic tour of its historical buildings: Government Palace, Archbishop Building, City Hall and others. Also we visit The Franciscan Monastery and its famous underground crypts , known as catacombs.
Edgar was an excellent guide for my family and I would highly recommend him, and use him again. My Family of 4 (58, 57, 24, 22) from the US were spending a few days in Lima. Edgar was great at communicating with me from the start and very flexible. He worked with me a schedule that was best for us. Edgar was very engaged, interesting, knowledgeable, and fun. We had a memorable experience!

We had full day Lima tour with Edgar. It was a pleasant tour. Edgar is very knowledgeable about the history/culture of his own country. He did very detail explanation to us, that totally enhanced the experience of our Peru trip. He was very flexible and patient to accommodate our needs. His English is very fluent and there is no difficulty as far as communication goes. He's very honest and open up front before we decided to book the tour, and he responded quickly during the searching tour stage. I'm glad that I made a new friend in Peru. We had an excellent tour with Edgar. He was knowledgeable, engaging and was able to give us a clear understanding of the cultural history of Lima and Peru. It was a great mix of culture, history, entertainment and sights including a traditional Peruvian lunch. Very highly recommended.

Edgar is the world's most knowledgeable tour guide! What a day! We saw historical sights, many diverse neighborhoods, went to the top of a mountain & had a beautifully curated museum tour.
