Hi, glad to meet you, my name is Alfredo R. , I am from Lima City, I live there and I work as a Licensed Tour Guide, Transfer Person and Tour Conductor for over 18 years. Finishing my studies in a local institute, I worked as Tour Guide in Lima city when I received some offers for working as Guide, Transfer Person and Tour Conductor out from my city: Puno, Cusco cities (peruvian Southern highlands) and Bolivia, and then, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Chachapoyas, Cajamarca and Piura cities (peruvian Northern coast and highlands). Thanks to my experience, sometimes I am a Tour Advisor making tour programs and I can guide in different places talking about many themes. I have the costume to take objects to the tours to make you feel the peruvian History of the ancient cultures. After to pick you up, we begin our tour visiting Barranco, old beach town of Lima city, famous for the Bridge of the Sighs, old meeting point for lovers. Then, we cross Chorrillos, peripheral district of Lima, with the Santa Mónica women prison and Villa Wetlands, important stop off for migratory birds. We take the Panamerican Highway to get Pachacamac, the main oracle of the Andean culture, where members of ancient cultures came to make consults about future. In its time, Pachacamac was one of the most populated cities in América. Having many occupations, it was visited by Spaniards during Inca times. Here you will see truncated Pyramids, a special enclosure for chosen women only-Acllahuasi-, Taurichumpi's Palace, the Temple of the Sun, residences for Inca high class and a museum. We continue to a Exclusive Estate to watch the elegancy of the Peruvian Paso Horse, where a delicious Lunch, followed by a horse show, await you. Finally, we go back to your Hotel.
It was just awesome!
We enjoyed the ruins of Pachacamac. But the real highlight of the day was our visit to the Hacienda Ficus. The Peruvian Horse show was awesome, and the quality of the food and surroundings made for a splendid afternoon!
First, Alfredo took us to the Museum & Archaeological Site of Pachacamac, which is south of Lima. This was a great way to learn of some of the early Inca and pre-Columbian (pre-Columbus) sites and history; we also had a nice walking tour of the archaeological site. Often, Alfredo graciously offered to take a picture of the two of us with the site in the background. Next, we went to see a "Paso Horse Show" at a "very private estate"; there were only 4 of us and it was a very nice private show and lunch.
The Paso horse show is not to be missed! This is a truly unique setting and so fitting for the art of the horse. The lunch was elegant and very good. A truly relaxing afternoon. When we had some extra time, Alfredo came up with another fun activity and we still finished on time. Alfredo took great care of us all three days that he was our guide. I highly recommend him.
Alfredo is the best. He is so knowledgeable of the area. He was extremely accommodating and very willing to modify our trip per our requests. We had our favorite day in South American with him. We especially enjoyed the stop at Los Ficus Hacienda for the Paso Horse show and lunch. I will recommend him to all my friends!
