Our tour begins with Lima Historic Centre that is World Heritage by the UNESCO since 1991. The main buildings are illuminated, so we'll watch the magnificence of San Francisco Church (watch the cover photo), the Main Square and the famous Unión Street (jirón de la Unión in spanish). After we go to the main highlight of Lima by night: Water Fountains Park (Magic Water Circuit) where you'll watch many water fountains with effects of lights, sounds, laser and music. Until today it is considered The Biggest Complex of Water Fountains of the World, recognition given by Récord Guinness Book in 2007. Crossing San Isidro, we go to Miraflores to have a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, one of the biggest archeological sites of the ciy, pre-Inca temple built by members of Lima Culture 1700 years ago. Larcomar Shopping Mall is included in our tour. Finally, we go to Barranco to visit the Bridge of the Sighs, old meeting point for couples during the XIX and XX centuries.
Alfredo and driver Jorge were brilliant. We had to push the tour back as our bus was late. It was no problem. Communication was great. Alfredo knew everything about the history of Lima and we visited the fountain park which was great. Nice to see Lima at night. Highly recommend x
We went with Alfredo in the morning to Pachacamac and had a brilliant time with him (see my other report) and similarly with the night light tour. He took us walk in a park with a music fountain show. We revisited the Olive tree park at night and the Central Plaza at night. Some of the churches were beautifully lit and he showed us the special Spanish wooden balconies along the streets. The drive tried his best to park close to the central plaza so we didnt have to walk too much. Alfredo also took good photo of our group of three with our iPhones.
Alfredo is a really nice guys. He sent us his driver at the airport to pick us up. He modified the tour to include a walking tour in the historic center to try many different street food. Alfredo has a lo of knowledge, and he really like to share it. He is friendly and really nice !!
Alfredo was very knowledgeable & friendly. We had a wonderful tour in the short time we had together. Traffic was problematic so we started late but still caught the highlight of the evening…the light show at the fountain park, just amazing! Miraflores & the views from there were beautiful under the night sky. It was also great to walk around Plaza de Armes. Alfredo shared historical information about Lima as well as current info about civic administration, we were woefully unaware of much of this. His love for his city was obvious.
We enjoyed our time with Alfredo on the night tour. He was knowledgeable and had many interesting facts about the things we were seeing. We saw the water show at the water fountain park which anyone going on this tour should be sure to see. It was a nice tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening tour. The water park, Circuito Magico del Aqua is not to be missed. His understand and discussion of Peruvian history, culture really added to one great evening in Lima. To top it off he dropped us off at a wonderful spot for a late night dinner and cocktails.
