Overview of your Fukuoka tour
Kitakyushu city is the second largest city in Fukuoka pref. , and had once flourished as an industrial city, while Fukuoka had developed as a merchant town. Now Kitakyushu city is more famous for the innovation technology, such as Yasukawa Electric and TOTO companies. Kyushu and Honshu are connected by the Kanmon Bridge or the Kanmon tunnel. The tunnel was established in 1958 with a length of 3461m. Moji port once played an very important role as a gate to Japan from other Asian countries. Why was Moji port a gate to Asian countries? You will find out on my tour! Kokurajo castle was originally built in early 17th century. Although the original castle was burned down, you can still see the magnificent structure of the caslte.
