Hi, I'm Jessica, living in Fukuoka for 19 years . I'I love to travel around Fukuoka to find delicious foods and great places to take pictures. I'm in love with Japanese pop-culture since I was a kid and I'm also a dog trainer, but I like any kind of animal. I work as interpreter for Japanese-English and Spanish. I began to to work as a private guide 6 years ago because I love Fukuoka and I want to share the great things that this Island has to offer to visitors and foreigners like me. I travel every month to do "Seichi Junrei" that is tourism that involves visiting the actual locations that anime series are set in. I'm an expert in local history and Japanese pop culture. If you are looking for the best food in Japan, without doubt, Fukuoka should be your first option. The Fukuoka Tonkotsu Ramen is well known all around Japan, because is the most delicious Ramen you can have. Also Fukuoka is the only prefecture in Japan that is allowed to have food stalls. The airport and the port are really near to the center of the city, where the action is. In fact the airport and the port in Fukuoka are the most accessible in Japan. If you are interested in culture and history Fukuoka is a great option. The biggest bronze statue in the world is waiting for you at Nanzoin Temple, and the biggest Buddha carved in wood is waiting for you at Tochoji Temple. If you want a unique tour I can arrange a tour only with the things you want to do or visit. I'll give you more options depending on the things you like. Please feel free to contact anytime, I'll be happy to help you and show you this city I like so much. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver

Fukuoka is a city known for its delicious food, and there are many must-try dishes! One of the most famous dishes is the Hakata-style ramen, which is characterized by its rich pork-bone broth and thin noodles. Another popular dish is the mentaiko, or spicy cod roe, which is often served as a topping on rice or in a variety of other dishes. Fukuoka is also known for its fresh seafood, such as grilled squid and sashimi. For a unique experience, we can try the yatais, which are street food stalls that line the city's streets at night. These stalls serve up a variety of dishes, from grilled chicken skewers to takoyaki (octopus balls). Finally, no trip to Fukuoka is complete without trying the local specialty, motsunabe, a hot pot dish made with beef or pork intestines. It may sound unusual, but it's a beloved dish among locals and visitors alike.
