A perfect day out! Not only was it fun to meet so many cute cats, but Hitomi was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! She also took us to Kushida shrine in Fukuoka afterwards. I would recommend this your to anyone!

Hello! Thank you for reading my profile. My name is Hitomi. I lived in foreign countries for over 8 years, such as US, Canada, France, Australia, Singapore and Spain. I love traveling like you do. What I love about Kyushu island is that people are friendly, it's not too crowded and the nature is beautiful. And most importantly the food is delicious! We have fresh fish, seafood, meat and so many kinds of delicious dishes! I got my guide license in 2017 and I've been working as a guide since. I love this job because I get to meet people from all over the world. Learning new languages and getting touch with other cultures inspires me. Overview of your Fukuoka tour
We visit an island where over 200 cats live by train and ferry from Fukuoka city. It's only 20-minute ride on a ferry. The island is also known for fishing, historic site and scenic spot. We'll spend about 2 hours in this peaceful island. After coming back from the island, we walk to Kushida shrine, learn how to pray in shinto way. You can see a beautiful big float which is made for Yamakasa festival. At the end, I'll take you to a small shop where you can find variety of goods of cat! There are handkerchiefs, cups, small pochettes and so much more! Find a perfect souvenir for your memory.

Hitomi took us directly downtown where we spent most of our day, as per our request. Beautiful Shrines and Temple's. We visited several museums and saw local artists making paper mache crafts. Best ever Tempura lunch. I would highly recommend Hitomi for any tour she offers.

We had a very enjoyable day with Hitomi. She was quite engaging and friendly, explaining how things worked here in Fukuoka, how the city was laid out and showing us interesting sights. She readily adapted our tour to accommodate our interests and was able to take us to some stores that carried some specific things we were looking for. I would highly recommend her as a your guide.
Your Fukuoka tour itinerary
-Meet at Hakata station or at your hotel -Take a train, a bus and a ferry to go to Ainoshima (island) -Have fun with super friendly cats and enjoy walking around the island -Go back to Hakata station and walk to Kushida shirne -Visit a small cat shop to find your favorite goods (just looking is ok!) For lunch, I recommend we grab some snacks at a shop so you'll have more time to spend in the island. For customizing this tour, please inquire for a quote.
