Nagasaki is located about 155km away from Fukuoka. The city is well known as the atomic bomb, but not only that, the city historically played a very important role. Japan took so called self-isolation policy from mid 17th - mid 19th century, and Nagasaki was the only place to open to foreign countries, such as China and Netherland. Also Nagasaki once flourished as a Christian town, but from early 17th-mid19th Japan banned Christianity. Those Christians had a harsh experience under strict restriction against Christians. You can see or visit the cites related to those history and learn what happened in Nagasaki. The nickname of the city is a "slop city", so once you are up on the hill, you can enjoy a wonderful view! At Atomic Bomb museum and the Peace Park, you'll find what actually happened in Nagasaki and hear the story of Sadako. You will leave Nagasaki with a lot of memory.
9:00 Hotel 11:10 Glovers House (on the way to Glover's house, you can see Oura church) 12:40 Lunch at China town 14:00 Atomic Bomb museum (go inside), and Peace Park (photo stop only) 17:30 Hotel The itinerary can be changed upon your request!
