Overview of your Fukuoka tour
Yutoku Inari shrine is located in Saga prefecture, which is much less populated. On the way, you can see local small farms, traditional Japanese-style houses that you cannot see in downtown Fukuoka. The main hall of the shrine is located up on the hill, which gives you a wonderful view. In spring time, early May, you can also enjoy azaleas and wisterias. Hizen Hamajuku used to have 13 traditional sake breweries. Two are now making sake with a traditional way. You can also see traditional structures while walking. Of course, you have time to taste and buy sake!
