If this is your first time in Tuscany don't miss this tour and I'm the right person for take you around! Pick up in the morning from the port and through the beautiful countryside of Chianti we reach after about one hour and a half the Medieval town of San Gimignano, located on the top of a hill and famous for its towers, Unesco World Heritage. Enjoy my main explanations then have some time on your own for explore the area or just for a coffee break. Then depart to Siena (about 45 minutes transfer), the famous antagonist city of Florence during the twelfth century: many attractions not to be missed, including the famous Piazza del Campo where twice a year runs the horse race "Palio", the Tower "del Mangia", the Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. Dominic. Also here I'll give the main information about the city before your free time for lunch and relax.

We had a wonderful time! We asked in advance for our guide to take us to Siena. It is a 1.5 hour drive from the port. Most would not be willing to go so far, but Massimo was very kind and agreed. It was so important to us to see Siena again. We honeymooned there 35 years ago. My husband and I are not young. Siena is very hilly. W were taken very close to the church, we didn't have to walk up the hill! We were delighted with how polite and knowledgeable he and his staff were. Absolutely would recommend

Massimo is an excellent guide. He took us to Siena and gimignano in his very comfortable Mercedes van. He is an excellent driver and his English is very good. He explained the history of the areas and gave us time to wander on our own to explore the quaint shops and towns. He added a visit to the little town of Chianti which also was interesting. If you are interested in visiting Siena and San Gimignano from the cruise port, Massimo is your man.

Known as Italy's Medieval Manhattan with its skyline of fourteen stone towers rising dramatically from the Tuscan countryside, San Gimignano is a unique sight to behold. • Siena, stretched across a Tuscan hill, Siena is my favourite place to revel in medieval Italy. The town is an architectural time warp, where pedestrians rule and the present feels like the past. In the 1300s, Siena was one of Europe's largest cities and a major military force. Return by 5. 30pm to your ship. Please note I don't provide for guided visit of museums or walking tour. If you have any special interests or wishes, I will be happy to customize this tour for you!
