I would like to present myself as an expert of Itineraries in Florence and Tuscany. Florence is my base town, but I have lived for a long time in Siena Province, Chianti and San Gimignano. Certainly I have expertise in every corner of Tuscany. I offer and enjoy also giving tours in other destinations in Central Italy Liguria, Emilia, Umbria and Rome. My university formation is in the Fine arts and history. I am a licensed tour guide, tour manager and tour agent. I have followed several other courses in languages, wine production and Italian food. My professional experiences were for long time in art galleries. As a child, I traveled a lot with my family, as student I liked the idea of being an expert and knowledgeable tour guide. My passion for art, history, outdoor living, landscapes, cuisine made this possible in my mature age. That is how I started in 2009 my experience as a tour guide. I have no words to explain how great experience it has been since than. As of today, I prefer giving guided tours in the museums of Florence. Overview of your Livorno tour
The tour for those willing full immersion day trip to Florence from Livorno in a private excursion. We'll meet out of the docking area. We'll have 9 hours. We need 1 and 1/2 hour approx one direction till Flo. Option to stop at Pisa. While driving I will talk historical (Roman origin /cradle of Renaissance) and contemporary info about Flo. We will have time for stroll in the historical city cent. Monuments, shopping if requested, lunch, gelato and taking memorable photos, plus your suggestions. If willing, for 2 adult partcps, I may include Accademia. Michelangelos's David, 20 feet high statue. When more ppl, you provide the tickets. Duomo complex, Ponte Vecchio, Signoria square, Medici quarter of San Lorenzo. If you want to see any other places, or other activities of your interest, please ask in advance. Alltogether up to 4 hours of guiding services. It could include Uffizi too. Mind it's a large museum, long halls 2 floors. No short cuts 2hrs. Time is precious. ITINERARY A 1)Departure from Livorno, 1 hour and 30 min of drive. 2) Florence driving around and getting the general info, riverside or hillside 3, Park at the historical centre. 4) Highlights of the Accademia, with David of Michelangelo will take 1hr 5) The Duomo Complex exterior. Visiting interiors? Baptistry is under restauration. Cathedral only booking a ticket Giotto pass on the web site To get tthe slot to climbe the Dome -Bruneleschi pass is needed. Slot between 2 and 3. 30 pm. No lift is available and there are many steps. The climb is not recommended for people with a heart condition or suffering from dizziness and claustrophobia. Climbing the Bruneleschi Dome 463 steps to do. 45 min . to be booked 40 days ahead. 6) Walking city centre of FLORENCE -Ponte Vecchio -Piazza Signoria, - Florence Government Palace or Palazzo Vecchio, - Bargello. 7) Route back to the cruiseship before 6. 00 PM.
