I am Federica, a Licensed Tour Guide and Environmental Hiking Guide for French, English and German languages. My job means that I have the opportunity to make my Liguria known to people from all over, in all its wonderful and different aspects, artistic, touristic, naturalistic. I was born and live in the heart of the Tigullio Gulf, a few kilometers from Portofino, Genoa, and the Cinque Terre. Working in tourism for more than twenty years, I have gained experience and flexibility with tourists of various nationalities, without ever losing the enthusiasm and love for this profession that allows me to be an “ambassador” of my region and at the same time to learn so much from the people with whom I interact. Art and nature experiences are mainly what I propose, but I also combe my work with a great passion of mine: sports. I am waiting for you to join me on a walk among the green olive trees & the blue sea. Be it immersed in nature, on a boat trip or even on an urban trek, I invite you to discover history, traditions and legends with me. Even if my calendar is full, don't hesitate to still contact me, I'll be happy to help you or offer recommendations! I can arrange luxury transportation in a Mercedes with a professional driver. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Let's go on an off the beaten path journey through the heart of Chiavari—where memories intertwine with art, ancient traditions, internationally famous local craftsmanship & timeless mysteries. The historic center of Chiavari, sheltered beneath its iconic porticoes, is the soul of the city. It links symbolic landmarks with the stories of the people—saints, heroes, painters, noble sailors and writers—who have shaped its past and present. Following the Unification of Italy, Chiavari became a key hub for emigration to the Americas, serving not only the city itself but also its surrounding hinterland. The management of remittances and the strengthening of family ties abroad led to the growth of banks and the establishment of consulates, fuelling the development of traditional trades and, significantly, tourism. On this tour, we'll uncover the Risorgimento past of Chiavari strolling through alleys & arcades to reveal unexpected treasures, immersing yourself with a true "local" in the real life of a small town.
·We’ll begin by taking a train from Genoa to the charming town of Chiavari. ·On arrival, we’ll walk under the elegant porticoes of Via Martiri della Liberazione, once the bustling Porticoes of the Merchants. ·Next, we’ll explore Chiavari’s soul through artisan workshops, historic boutiques, and mosaic-paved streets. ·As we pass the Palaces of the Emigrants later, we’ll reflect on stories of departure and the Risorgimento spirit. ·Afterwards, we’ll stop at the Nostra Signora dell’Orto Cathedral, a national monument rich in local devotion. ·Along our way, we’ll sample local flavors—focaccia, canestrelli, or a glass of vermentino, and seek out hidden courtyards and peaceful corners off the main path. ·After soaking in the history and charm, we’ll return to Genoa by train. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests.

We'll take the local train to reach Chiavari and return. This being said, most of the tour will be on foot so I suggest bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable shoes. If you book during the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. If you book during the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella in case it rains.
